Good Morning. Father's Day! When I say that, it can conjure up all kinds of thoughts and emotions. Some have had fathers that were not that good at being a father. Some may have had a father that did the best he could and you look at them with joy and longing in your heart. We live in a moment of time where things are changing almost daily. Isn't it good to know that we have a Father who is consistent and never changing. Our lesson this morning comes from James 1:17. [Jas 1:17 NLT] 17 Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. Think about that. His love for you never changes, even when we do things that are not so wise, His love will always there for us. We can count on Him take us clear through to eternity. He is not swayed by events that happen here on earth. When Jesus Christ returns we have the guarantee that we will be joined with Him forever. We are not scared of the enemy because we know that God will defeat him and we will be safe.

Jesus Christ is just like His Father. [Heb 13:8 NLT] 8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." We have the assurance the blood that Jesus shed on the cross will forgive and cleanse us from all our sins. We know that Jesus is eagerly waiting for the Father to give the go ahead signal for Him to come get us. I wonder how close that day actually is. Probably closer that we know. I loved my earthly Dad and would so enjoy sitting down with him to talk about things, but he is gone and now I must wait for another day in heaven when we will be together again. In all of these thoughts I see a future where I can count on the things that will never change...and I like that!

God Bless
